We decorated the bulletin board with winter themed vocabulary and pictures. Then we played a game with it.

Project Presentation at School
In September 2013, at the beginning of the new school year
we organized an event to give an update about the Project to the rest of the
students and teachers at school. The students who travelled abroad prepared
some slideshows. Also, they opened their personal blogs and introduced it. For
now they keep their blogs as a travel diary for their comenius project but
later they will add their own experiences at school. We prepared brochures and
bookmarks.

My visit in Turkey
I visited Turkey from 24 May to 3 June. First day
Turkish teachers took us to the hosting
families. I greeted with my Turkish family, we spoke a little and then I went
to sleep because I was very tired after the flight. Next day I woke up, got
dressed quickly and we went to Turkish school. There the bus was waiting for us
and it took us to the place where Turkish children and teachers had a welcoming
performance. Girls were dancing to Turkish music and there was a man who was
dancing Turkish traditional dance. After that we played Turkish game Mangala.
When we finished playing we returned home. After dinner we went to the park
together with my friend, Marek and his friend. There we played basketball. Then
we came back home and I went to bed.
Next day we went to Cappadocia. We saw a lot of
fantastic places and also a man who was making clay pots. Then we returned to
Ankara.
Next day we were visiting Ankara. First we went to
the major of the district of Ankara. Our Polish and Spanish teachers gave him
some presents. The major gave us albums of Ankara, alarm clocks and other
interesting souvenirs. Then we visited museums. In the afternoon I had dinner
at home and I went to the playground with Gosia and Jeremiasz.
Next day I had to get up very quickly because we
had a journey to Istanbul. We visited mosques where we were given special
shawls to cover our head, shoulders and legs. We also had to take off shoes.
Then we had dinner at McDonald’s restaurant and we went to the hotel. Next day
after breakfast we had a boat trip and we saw dolphins. We were crossing the
border between Europe and Asia. When we reached the harbour we had lunch and we
went to the bus. Our journey to Ankara took 2 hours. We said goodbye to Spanish
teachers and students. Next day I could sleep longer. After breakfast we went
to the meeting point where we said goodbye to Turkish children and teachers. The
bus took us to the airport and we said goodbye to three Turkish teachers who
took care of us.
I liked my visit in Turkey very much because I met
a lot of new people, their everyday life, customs and culture.

Visiting Turkey
At the end of
May this year I visited Turkey with the Comenius project. We went to Turkey by plane. We visited a lot of
interesting places there. We stayed with Turkish families so we could see how
the life was in that exotic country. My family was great. They welcomed me very
warmly and they had a lot of ideas to keep me busy. They even took me to the
aquarium. Turkey is different from Poland. Especially food, customs and
buildings are different. I liked that journey very much. I like travelling and
I hope to visit another country next time.
